All set for Golden Run
As the Alturas Group of Companies (AGC) marks another milestone this year celebrating its 50th founding anniversary, big events are being lined up one of which is the Golden Fun Run on March 25, conducted in cooperation with the City Government of Tagbilaran and media partners The Bohol Chronicle, Kiss 102.3 FM, and DYRD.
A follow-up to the successful Pink Run in October last year where the gross proceeds were donated to the breast cancer patients, the Golden Fun Run is another charity run aimed to raise funds this time for the terminally ill children here in Bohol.
Professional runners and other running enthusiasts can join the Golden Fun Run which will start at the ICM carpark. The categories are 5k, 10k, and 21k. The registration fee is only P450, with T-shirt and bib. The gun start for each category is 4:45 am for 5k, 4:30 am for 10k, and 4:15 am for 21k. The race route will be announced later.
To register, participants may visit the Consumer Welfare Desk or Customer Service Counter of Island City Mall, Alturas Mall, Alta Citta, Plaza Marcela, and Alturas-Talibon; or they can also register online at https://bit.ly/agcgoldenrun.
At 4 pm on the same day and venue, there is a Golden Zumba Marathon with a registration fee of P350, inclusive of T-shirt and bib. To cap the day, a free concert is held at the carpark in the evening.
In the “Pink Run” 2022, conducted last October 23, at the ICM carpark, around 1,600 runners had joined the benefit run as part of the nationwide observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October. The gross proceeds of P200,000 were donated to the 20 beneficiaries, mostly breast cancer patients, who received cash assistance worth P10,000 each.
