All set for Pink Run 2022

As part of the observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October; Island City Mall, in cooperation with the City Government of Tagbilaran and the Provincial Health Office of Bohol, together with media partners, The Bohol Chronicle, DYRD, and Kiss 102.3 FM; conducts a run-for-a-cause, dubbed as “Pink Run” 2022, on October 23, with the ICM carpark as the starting and finishing line.

This is open to all runners, amateur and professional. Assembly time is 4 am, but the gun start on different categories are set at 4:30 am for 16K, 4:45 am for 10K, 5 am for 5K, and 5:15 am for 3K.

Registration fee is only P300, with free T-shirt, bib, and freebies. The gross proceeds will go to the breast cancer patients and other indigent beneficiaries. Registration is now going on until October 5, at the Consumer Welfare Desks of Island City Mall, Alturas Mall, and Plaza Marcela.

Other activities of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Island City Mall are the Pink Bazaar from September 30 to October 2, free clinic from 9 am to 3 pm, a symposium from 2 pm to 4 pm, and zumba after the Pink Run on October 23.

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the US, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes; thus came a strong clamor to help promote more awareness about early detection and prevention of the deadly disease, especially among the vulnerable women population.
