Alturas donates P.6M to 40 cancer patients
Alturas Group of Companies (AGC), through its Alay Marcela Foundation, recently turned-over cash donation worth more than half a million pesos to the breast cancer patients here in Bohol.
A cash assistance worth P15,000 was given each to the 40 beneficiaries during a simple turn-over ceremony last October 30, at the Prawn Farm of Island City Mall, with the presence of the local media.
The P600,000 cash donation were the gross proceeds from the different Pink Bayanihan activities of AGC, especially the highly-successful Pink Run 2025, last October 5; the Pink Bazaar from October 5 to 10, at the ICM Activity Center which generated additional funds from the sale of the exhibitors; and the registration fees from Pink Zumba Marathon 2025 last October 18, as well as contributions from sponsors, donors, and more.
The Alturas Pink Bayanihan 2025 was a part of the nationwide observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October. The main highlight was the Pink Run 2025 which was a big success. A record-breaking total of 4,511 runners had joined the benefit run.
The Alturas Pink Zumba Marathon For-A-Cause also registered the highest attendance in years with 831 zumba regulars and enthusiasts joining the said fitness activity last October 18, at the ICM carpark.
AGC expresses its gratitude to all the participants/runners, organizers, working committees, and most especially the sponsors, who in one way or another, contributed to the success of this year’s Pink Bayanihan activities.
