Alturas Sandugo concert draws 21,000 attendees
Close to 21,000 people from all walks of life trooped to the said venue to witness a one-of-a-kind Alturas Night with Sunkissed Lola and Dilaw performing their respective hits, “Pasilyo” and Uhaw”, to the delight of their tens of thousands adoring fans here in Bohol.
As early as 5 pm on that day, a long queue was already forming along the road leading to the airport gate. By 8 pm, the event officially started with a comedy duet from Manila-based comedians Humpy Dumpi and Kikay Vhalix. Host Drake then welcomed the crowd afterwhich the comic duo invited five male players from the audience to take part in the games entitled, “Mr. Pogi.” Both winners and non-winners received cash prizes.
There was also a raffle draw for the audience, especially those who hold admission tickets. Some of them were lucky to win instant prizes.
After the games, Sunkissed Lola appeared first on stage, and the crowd screamed hard as they performed their set list including their breakaway hit “Pasilyo”. A comical skit from Rowell Divina followed, and then came Dilaw performing amidst thunderous sounds of shrieking fans until the concert ended past 11 pm.
The concert event is presented by AGC which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, bearing the theme “Serving the Community, Uplifting Lives”.
