Pink Run set Oct. 1
The most prestigious charity run for breast cancer awareness which drew around 1,600 runners here in Bohol last year, Pink Run fires off again this year on October 1, at the Island City Mall carpark.
A follow-up to the successful Pink Run last year and the Alturas Golden Run last March 25, Pink Run 2023 is expected to attract more participants as the registration is conducted early this month, starting August 11 until September 20.
Professional runners and other running enthusiasts can join in any of the three categories 5k, 10k, and 21k. The registration fees are P550 for 5k and P650 for 10k, all with full sublimation T-shirt, finisher medal, race bib, snacks, and product samples from sponsors.
Participants for 21k will have a registration fee of P750 with full sublimation T-shirt, finisher medal, race bib, sports water bottle, breakfast meal, and product samples from sponsors.
The gun start for each category is 4:45 am for 5k, 4:15 am for 10k, and 4:00 am for 21k. The race route will be announced later.
To register, participants may visit the Consumer Welfare Desk or Customer Service Counter of Island City Mall, Alturas Mall, Alta Citta, and Plaza Marcela; or they can also register online at https://bit.ly/agcpinkrun2023.
The Pink Run is organized by the Alay Marcela Foundation of the Alturas Group of Companies (AGC) as part of the nationwide observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October. The gross proceeds will be donated to the breast cancer patients.
Last year, the P200,000 proceeds were given to the 20 cancer-stricken beneficiaries who received cash assistance worth P10,000 each. AGC is grateful to all the sponsors and participating runners who, in one way or another, contributed to the worthwhile humanitarian undertaking.
